Hi 'Boris' is an 08 male, about 8 months. I weighed him before a feed last night and he was 192g. I know they all vary but just wondered if you guys think this is ok as he was very underweight when i bought him. Also what ru feeding at this age/weight? Boris has a rat fluff every 5 days? Thanks kay x |

He's a little light for 8 months, but don't rush to try and get him up to weight, slowly does it |

Thanks guys. I know he isnt going to be huge cause you could see his spine when i bought him (thats y i bought him - i know thats a bit silly). His brother from the same clutch is still in the shop, weighs 91g, want to rescue him but have no money at the mo. I might report the shop to someone? Anyway, boris is a good feeder so il just stick to the same feeding routine then x |

Sorry, I got lost in translation...
What is a rat fluff? Is that the same as a hopper? or a fuzzy?
yup yup, one hopper every 5 days until the snake gets a little more girth then move up to small rats. A rat about 10-15% of the snake's weight would be a good approximation. Power feeding the snake does more harm than good - is what the experts always say. |

Its good, the only issue I have with it (especially for Royals) is that as its American they call Rat Pups rat Pinkies and Rat Pups are the size of large mice so it can be a bit confusing. |

Ah! A rat fluf = hopper!
But then, I feed ASF rats which are bigger than a mouse but smaller than a rat so I'm totally out of whack. |

Well in my local shop Rat pups are smaller than fuzzies, so it does vary from place to place. |

I think that's the norm in the UK. |
