It'll just be some meds to kill off the parasites.

doesn't sound like tapeworm, they tend to come out in flat segments, could be something like roundworm? easily treated with something like Panacur 2.5% and likely to have been contracted from an infested mouse/rat.

Only experienced it with my cats!!! I would assume it's fairly easy to treat, good luck

hey guys went to the vets tonight about the tapeworm in my royal. they said i have done nothing wrong, i have to give her a oral medicine once a week, they think that she could have had it since she was born or had a dodgy rat. shame. hopefully she will get better soon it only cost me £38 as well i thought it wasnt too bad.

just curious, what medication did they give you?
usually it's a fenbendazole product for roundworms or a praziquantal one of tapeworms

i will double check and get bk to u but i think it is the praziquantal one for tapeworms. its the same stuff they use on cats and dogs i seen it on the bottle when the vet gave it to her.
