hi my dad is busy building me a double viv and he's wondering how many vents he needs to put in. each viv measures 4 ft X 2ft X 2ft.

How big are the vents?

I have 4 of the circular type in my 3' vivs.

Yes I do 35mm vents at the moment.
I can also do steel vents with 4mm holes to any size and shape in a choice of colours

Just an observation... it seems like in the UK a wood/acrylic enclosure is the norm while in the US the reptile glass tanks or plastic tub racks are. I have to say, the glass tanks are a lot harder to stabilize as far as temperature and humidity goes. I'm sure the wood enclosures are much easier.

Snake owner since Oct 2008, so yeah, I'm no expert.

The wooden vivs are very common, I've got a couple of American snake books that show loads of different enclosures but no wooden ones lol.

I like the open-ness of the glass tanks I just don't like them as much.
