Well another feed for Grace. She did not want it two days before, but I was patient and she took it with no problems two days later.
It was good to know that her first one was not a one off. I am not sure if it was a sign that she is settlng in more or getting used to things, but she also ate it quicker. The whole process was 10 mins quicker with same size fuzzy rat.
I am not trying to see how fast she can eat,but was wondering if times from the strike to taking the mouse/rat down vary much.

Hi Colin, well done on the second feed, maybe her waiting the extra couple of days made her more hungry, i know Peanut never used to hang around when he was feeding..

with Queenie it depends if you're watching him - if you are he'll 'hug' it for ages before even starting to eat. if you're really still and away from the viv he eats quicker |

Fernando constrict for longer or shorter times (big difference of less than 5 minutes and up to 15 min), and eats faster or slower. Larger meals takes him longer to eat, but apart from that I have not seen any pattern. |

Sid sometimes takes ages, both constricting, then working out how to get his gob round it lol.
The other day he dropped his roland right up against his bowl and he took AGES trying to work out how to get it into his mouth!
He pauses if I move to get a better view lol. |

He is doing great Colin, caught him sitting half way up his logs last night curled up quite happy...must have been waiting for a mouse to wander by... |
