as i explained in one of my earlier posts on sunday my royal changed vivs. as yet he hasnt explored yet and has stayed is his new hide. hes due to feed tomorrow. i would normally strike feed him but as he may be a bit stressed from the move still i was wondering if heating the mouse and lying it down a few inches away from the hide might entice him out? or do i just do it was i normally and let him strike feed? alturnativly should i skip feeding him for now?

i would give him another week yet to allow him to fully settle in his new surroundings.

I agree, a week of rest won't hurt him

Royals can go months without food (and a lot do by their own choice when they go through their funny feeding stages ).

Just leave him until he looks settled. He might be out exploring as though nothings happened in 3 days and then you can try him then, but a week wouldn't hurt at all if he's still shy of his new enclosure.

ok thats cool then. how are they without water because as he hasnt explored yet i doubt hes drunk anything. the temps and humidity are spot on so at least hes not going to dehydrate to fast i hope.

If he wants water he'll find it. Don't worry.

ditto GP..he will be fine, just give him time, you dont want to stress him at all now.
