iv been told to keep the light on 24/7. is this correct. iv got 2 heat lamps in my viv controled by a dimmerble stat. should i have a normal light on 24/7?? kinda confused. |

No, you dont even have to use a light if you dont want to. The natural light in the room will be fine.
Can I ask why you need 2 heat lamps? |

iv got a 4x2x2 tank and 1 bulb wasnt enuf to get the temp up. they stay on most of the time.. i get the feelin im not doin sumit wrong?

What are the temps in the viv? How big is the viv? How big is the snake? |

the tanks 4x2x2 foot. in the middle its 85 the snake is about 50cm and not too sure how much it weighs.

That viv is massive for a snake that size. It would be fine in a viv half that size.
Can you find out the temp at the basking site? Also are the lights guarded? |

wats the basking site??? (im a beginner) the reptile shop said that it wud be fine. :S at the moment there not but im gonna get a guard. atm the snake cant reach them. |

Can you post pics up of your setup?
The basking site is the area under the bulbs.
Are the bulbs close together? |

You'd be surprised!
The viv is very large, but if the snake's eating well then just worry about the heating (i.e. the guards). What wattage are they, 1 should be plenty really. |

there about 9" apart. the snake eats fine. there both 60w i will post some photos on monday. im slowly adding things into the viv so he has more places to hide and to explore. |

i see! shall i keep the 2 in there or change them both or just one? wat have u got in ur vivs. iv got a nice branch he loves to climb, and fall off, wat else cud i get?
