If a food item is less than the widest part of my royals body is it ok to feed?

I gave my royal his first small mouse today.

He took it well but just wanted to make sure.

Yea that's fine, it's going bigger than the thickest part that is the problem. One of mine is being a bugger and only eating large mice at the minute, which aren't big enough. He's proving tricky to get onto rats!

Oh right. I'm having a proud daddy moment. My guy has come a long way. All the best with yours!

Mine has gone off of rats and will only eat large mice. He just decided one day that's what he was going to do. So frustrating!
