wow looks really good i love his harness and lead - did he enjoy roaming about?
Thank you. It'll look better once the fascia boards are on the front and the colour matches the two Vivexotics on top. He's a very nosey little fella so he's always up for an explore. He comes out to wander about on the ledge in front of the 3' vivs when his doors are open

comfy in there?
Lol, apart from hitting my head on the light fitting every two seconds . Those ceramic holders hurt. I can sit nearly upright on the lhs of the viv. The light fitting on the rhs is on a little platform that sits about 2" away from the viv ceiling with a big air gap behind it. Hopefully it should significantly reduce the amount of thermal transfer from the basking lamp. It seemed to work when I ran it all day in the garage. The outside top of the viv was still cool to the touch after quite a few hours of the 100w spot bulb running.
The substrate in there consists of 140 litres of top soil mixed with 2 sacks of B&Q play sand (it doesn't say how many litres are in the bags but I would estimate 25 litres in each).
Still trying to hunt down some fake savannah plants to put in there for him to destroy. I hollowed the tree stump out before it was bleached, etc and he seems to have decided that he likes it as his sleeping quarters.
Cheers. I'm gonna have to borrow my dad's camcorder and film him at feeding time. There's enough room for the locusts to fly around in there. He actually has to put some effort into feeding now
Cheers dude. He's a bit like a scaley version of a labrador puppy behaviour wise. He's learning the command "wait" at the moment when it's feeding time. He sort of gets the idea but sometimes his stomach takes over and he just can't resist
Having a chat with his best buddy:
.... and one taken today at 9 months old:
He'll get to around 18 months before his growth rate slows .
