thought id let you guys know my new baby royal Kaa died last night im going to take him to pet shop this morning to try get some info only had him a week

Sorry to hear that, not much you could have done wrong in a week, I'm sure they'll replace if you decide you want to.

so sorry to read of your loss..

i know it wont help, but there are lots of babies dying, not sure why...

how old was he? something must have been wrong before you got him sadly..

RIP kaa, as said, wont be your fault, was it acting strange etc, there seems to be alot of young royals dying a lately

i think he was about a month old we was fine all week got up this morning for work and he seemed ok when i got ready for work i looked in tank to see if he was ok and he was up side down like on his back so i touched his side to see if he was allright and nothing so i picked him up and he was limp i knew right then that he was dead i know there's nothing i could have done but im so gutted the pet shop is getting me another royal as sad as this is for me and my family were not going to let it put us of royals thank's for replies everyone

Its that time of year, thousands of Royal hatchings around, imported farmed ones too (especially from pet shops). Nothing sinister I don't think.

yeah it is sad BE...

guess that is another reason to buy from reputable breeders, but even that is not any kind of guarantee really is it..

sorry to hear that but thats good that their going to replace it,it must be quite trumatic to be shiped all the way over here for a hatchling and that probably contributs to the high death rate of hatchlings

sorry for your lose. I lost one of my babies just the other day so i know how you feel. If it was only a month old it may have had only one feed if any. plus the stress of traveling. just to check, did you spray any antiperspirent or anything like that in the room when you were getting ready for work?

an update the shop gave me a new baby today his names TAZ hes on my new banner plz tell me what you think of him and the shop think's Kaa ate some substrate before i got him
