Hi everyone. Been away for a while.
My royal has been trying to eat a rat fluff backwards unsuccessfully for about 20 mins. Its back legs are "ten to two" and he can't get his mouth around. Should I take it off him or leave him to figure it out on his own?
Cheers

not worth taking it off him, you risk damaging his teeth...... and his confidence! |

Yeah that was what I thought too but just wanted to check he wouldn't do any damage trying to force it in. Thanks again. |

one of my royals has done that a couple of times, but he always manages to eat it, so dont worry...they are quite adept at coping with the backwards feeding i think ..lol |

Its ok until they get to larger items where the legs don't fold very well! |

My boa spent quite a while trying to eat a rat *sideways* the other day! Eventually she dropped it and tried again from the head end. |
