hi i have seen that a lot of people are using aspen substrate in their vivs, i am using bark chippings, which is what the breeder i am getting my python from uses.
is this ok, dont want my snake to get any repiratory problems cause of wrong substrate

Bark chips is fine to use.

you tend to get too high humidity if it's orchid bark chippings, as well as the risk of introducing creepy crawlies to your snake's enclosure so best to bake it first to remove both!!
