I keep all of mine outside.
I have all the walls and roof well insulated and the viv's are raised up off the floor.
For heating I use an air-con unit so I can keep a constant temp all year round by heating or cooling.
Air-con units are fairly expensive to buy but give good savings to run. They work on a 3:1 ratio meaning to get equivalent to 3kw output it only uses 1kw of electricity.

I keep changing the viv's I have in there, at the moment theres about 40+ from small up to 6 and 8 foot plus several incubators and loads of tubs in racks for cockroaches.
Not measured the room but roughly 8x16 foot.
