I saw a lovely sri lankan python close to me. Stunning colours and a beautiful snake. I really wanted it, but it's potential size was something i couldn't put off. I really would love a 'big' snake but in practical terms i couldn't care for it the way it would need when it got that big. When it starts needing 2 plus people does it still count as a pet? This really wind's me up about people that buy retics that don't do their research before. |

I think a retic is a bit mad, no way in hell can you ever manage that yourself.
A burmese gets quite big and they can get big enough where you'll NEED two people but mostly 12ft is common from what I've read and that's more a case of "you probably should have a second person incase it eats you" :P |

And there was me thinking you were going to say, oh but yes, I'd rather live like a monk in order to keep my burm ...
A case of disorderly habits ...? |

hmmm, more like things that go bump in the night methinks BATS! U should defo get a burm Kelf, i've got a normal 12ft male and a 7ft albino female, be warned tho - they'll eat like pigs given half a chance and grow so quick - my female is 2yrs old and already manages small rabbits, my males on adult rabbits (both fed every 10 days). BUT if u find a placid youngster and handle 'em regularly they're just as friendly as a royal :) |

12 -36 eggs. (Though you might have trouble persuading Mama Burm to part with them.)
And a dump that weighs 2 stone and is very smelly! Jeez, try flushing that down the loo!!!! |

LOL - are there any allotments near you? Or do you have a friend with a compost heap??
I once heard of a guy who decided elephant dung was just the thing for his runner beans. He obtained some from a local circus ... the beans died, but the bamboo supports sprouted in all directions ... |
