Jessie hasnt missed a feed since we got her, which we're very grateful for. She struck the first few times, but recently seems pretty uninterested, then takes it after we leave it in for her.

I seem to remember reading on an earlier thread that this isnt a problem, but I was wondering why she may have stopped striking?

We warm the mouse up thoroughly so I dont think theres a problem with it not being warm enough for her.

I'll reiterate that we're very happy that shes feeding at all after reading horror stories on here about fasting pythons, so this is just a query out of interest, not concern.

Probably because she isn`t all that hungry. I bet if you left her for 2-3 weeks she would.

Flo doesnt always strike either, I think its a hunger thing too as my BCI struck hard on the rat i gave him last week and then very gently took Florences left over weaner rat an hour or so later.
