If they're young they're best off in RUB's (really useful boxes) you could use a 9litre for now with a heatmat under 1 quarter of the rub attached to a thermostat (pulse is best but matstats work okay) inside this end of the rub should be the thermostat prrobe (this can also be attached to the heatmat itself) inside the rub should be a digital thermometer to measure the temperature, you want your hot end between 29 to 32 whatever your choice is, it varies from person to person.
Inside the rub you'll want at least 2 hides, a water bowl and if there is room anything else to make it nice and packed out, royals like tight spaces. |

Hi, Colin and welcome to the forum. Let's get one thing straight - we ALL worry! It's a requirement of being a royal owner lol.
I can't improve on Kelf's and Bob's advice; as you read around on the forum you'll notice different opinions about enclosure sizes, but I won't start that debate. It's a good size to get started with.
There's loads of advice and info on this forum; it's brilliant - but any questions, don't hesitate to ask - we're all learning.
All the very best and congrats on your new royals. |
