Chancho is on his first small weaner rat tonight....
usual strike and constrict.. but he decides he wants to hang off the edge of his rub and tackle Mr Rat... he tried nibbling his ear...looks like he was whispering sweet nothings to Mr Rat lol!!!
Now he's got him hanging by the neck... he just can't work it out at all!!
LOL now we're going to try bottoms first... oh dear... no he's given up again lol... i'd get pictures but i dont want to spook him!
Poor bugger's starving as well as i only had one of those rat pups (which according to my local shop were actually rat fluff... i don't know!) left last monday instead of the two he normally has.
I'm tempted get him a knife and fork he might have more joy!
you do have to feel sorry for snakes... efficient hunters yet... efficient when it comes to getting the thing in their gob - not in this case!!
I was hoping for an early night but i think i might be here a while! |

hooray, finally got those pesky back legs in his gob (backwards!) and suddenly he swallowed mr rat!

Yeah, snakes aren't exactly blessed with brains sometimes ...silly boy! Glad he got his dinner in the end. |

i wish i had taken a photo or videoed it... he'd sort of looped his neck around the rats neck, hanging off the side of the RUB.. then kept mouthing at the rats ear because it would swing away a little each time he tried to grab at it... just looked like he was talking to it!! |

My Boa seems to enjoy eating from the middle, can lead to some very strange situations of folded rodent.

hahaha!! they do love the most awkward eating positions!! My corn Betty insists on hanging off the edge of the rub, stretching out as far as possible, grabbing the mouse and landing on the sofa! good job its a fake leather sofa i can just wipe clean >_< |
