Gonna put a Deposit on a "Black Amazon Tree Boa" :) i held him for a whole 10 mins and didnt get bitten shame the shop assistent wasnt so lucky :) and i need to find out how to do that

yeah it is a tree boa :) and no my corn was my first :) it is incredibally dark maybe not black but very dark brown im going back down tommorow to have a final look and decision and yeah i know its kind of a big leap but im interested in the way of which my current 2 snakes act they are completely different just due to the type :P and its a Amazon tree boa its really thin vertically and has very strange eyes :)

Yes it is but i have done my own research this time i understand what the snake needs its going to be pricy and im not rushing into getting the snake asap im gearing up the tank over 3 weeks giving me plenty of time to make sure the habitat is perfect then on the 4th week im collecting the snake i know they are very aggresive but within about 4-5 months they can become very tame from handling will be painful but im willing if you reccomend i dont get it my ears (eyes :P) are open to your opinions :P

The snakes are not that expensive,seen them for like £65 up.Just make sure you get the setup right.I will say just cuz it's arboreal,don't go for a 2ft 2ft 5/6ft high cage.So something like a 32”x32”x24” would work well.
they seem to like a night time temp drop to.So would have to get a magic eye stat or something like that.

Well he is costing me 89.99 only 6 month old and yeah i thought of that myself lol could only go up and down not good :P and i work a twighlight shift so when i get in from work i check and handle my snakes whilst they are active so i could easily alter the temprature myself at 6pm then i get home for 2am i usually stay up until about 5-6 in the morning as you might of noticed by some posts so i can simply raise the temprature before i go to bed i dont mind either i have as much to do with them as possible :)

There not that much more expensive m8 then a normal dimmer stat.Oh and seeing as it's still young a rub might be better at first.or a smaller glass exo terra viv.
Don't buy a wooden viv either ;) it limits what you can do,Say you wanted to plant it up.it will be a real pain in a wooden viv.

nice man! well i already have a viv exactly the same as my royal is in atm i will use that for now however it is wooden :S should do for a few months and ill put the money aside to get one of the reptile box :) that way all the decor and Branches i buy i can simply switch in smelling of him might help him when i move him into the new viv i think? :)

theres tons of other makes/types out there.its upto you really,If i was getting one id plant it up.With soil and spraying,over time a wooden viv will rot to.
