what are the recommendations for incubators? i think i read somewhere the exo terra ones and similar are too small for python clutches or is that just the case if you have multiple clutches at once?

I've read so many bad reviews about the off-the-shelf "hobby" incubators, which commonly refer to the thermostat failing and cooking the eggs. I'll be shortly scrounging a stella fridge, ready to be rigged up with a heat cable and pulse stat - reckon I could rig up a pretty decent home incubator for a fraction of the cost of a branded one.

As long as the tubs ain't hitting the floor and a steady temp holds

There's a really good thread with a home incubator
I'll find it

Here's the one i built
Cost me about £60 inc fans mats and the fridge it's self from eBay brought as faulty
Just took all the fridge stuff out
Oh and £32 for the pulse stat

I moved the fans about and added water bottles on the bottom heat mat
It's all trial and error
Till you get it right

I had an exo terra rain system,it sucked big time. The timer was off by hours, plus it was cheap crap with a huge price tag.

Heard the same thing to,thermostats being way of etc.
