hey guys i was a little dissapointed yesterday cuz my royal wouldn't feed but when i woke up this morning there was her first shed since i have had her.and had her first no2. i was so happy that's probably y she didnt feed. i also weighed her tonight she is 8 months old and weighs 275g does that sound about right.
mines due a shedding and not eating, they all weigh differant, mine is 8/9 months and wieghing the same so sounds good, was the shed complete with the eye caps?
i wouldnt say so. they all grow at different speeds. mine has been excellent feeder taking 1 rat weener every 7 days for a few months now and before that medium mice.
so when do you think i should try to feed her again. i will try to put some pics of her up soon she looks gorgeous. i love the albinos they look the best
The reason to leave a snake for 48 hrs (as said above) is so they don't regurge, can you imagine how uncomfortable it must be having a weeks food in your body at once, lol.
I only say this after having an arguement in a rep shop yesterday with a 14 yr old know it all. "Nah mine comes out for a cuddle within an hour of feeding, only regurged twice in 4 months......"
I think myself and the shop owner put him straight
i was talking to someone who knew a old lady that put her beardie in her coat pocket and took it shopping with her cos she said 'it got lonely and loved getting out and about...'
Some of the things that I hear people (not the staff) say in my local rep shop makes me cringe. You can almost hear the staff sigh in dispair sometimes.
An elderly couple returned a juvenile iguana to them the other day complaining that it was too manic/energetic/quick for them to cope with. No sh*t Sherlock!!! were the words that nearly emerged from my lips. Why don't these people ever read up in advance and ask questions before they make their purchase?!?!?!
i just bought one of those lucky reptile thermometers with two sensors not sure where in the tank to put them i no 1 in the cold and 1 in the hot bu how high and apart to put them
