Brilliant to see him being held - he looks pretty relaxed! Did he mind too much, or was he more than happy to have a cuddle?

Cheers guys. He's ok with the cuddles in short bursts but then starts getting a little scatty after a bit . |

still a cool thread, looks like he is growing well. He must be costing more than both my dogs and all my snakes put together in grub! |

Was definately getting some funny looks on the bus today coming home with a bag of 50 frozen day old chicks. Expect some interesting easter pics next year . |

That very much depends on whether I've got any money left what with the new arrival. If I'm working or have managed to shift the bike gear then probably yes. |

That was an approximated quantity for the month (cos I stupidly didn't keep a written record ). This month I have been writing it down so november's instalment will be 100% accurate . |

ok cheers. just the wife has fallen for a Black and white Tegu and diet and growth rate are note to disimilar. would be good to know info like that when making a decision. this thread is great in that way as you get the info the shops don't know. well done. how is the handling going? |

I love the fact that far from putting people off, it has made some of us look into buying a big reptile, lol
I might have been looking at Tegus and Blue tongues too........ |

I was hoping that this thread would work like that. If people are going into it with their eyes wide open then it's been worthwhile writing it.
Spor: Handling is going really well. He comes out when he wants to rather than me grabbing him out when I feel like it. That happens at least once a day.

I have to admit it made me realise the cost of lizards when I briefly boarded a Beardie, snake costs £6 a month, beardie cost that a week, AND some more! They cost more than both the dogs do.
Would love a Blue Tongue Skink, but I just can't justify the expense when I could have another snake, lol |
